Robert T. (Tom) Russell
Founding Advisory Partner
Mr. Russell served as an Advisory Partner of Cotton Creek Capital until his passing in October 2019. Mr. Russell was actively involved in the investment activities of the Firm since its formation.
In his role, Mr. Russell was involved in the evaluation and operational oversight with respect to many of Cotton Creek Capital’s investments. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Russell gained over thirty years of business experience in business consulting and private industry, much of it in manufacturing and construction related areas. He worked with companies in all stages of their life cycle including restructuring and turnaround, as well as proceedings under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Russell’s private industry experience included public and private board membership and officer positions, including serving as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Russell served on the board of directors of several of the Firm’s portfolio companies, including Y-COM Holdings, LLC, C7 Holdings Corp., C7 Logistics, Inc., RB Acquisition Corp., Sterling BV Holdings, Inc., AirReady Holdings, Inc., Waste Partners Environmental, Inc., Chain Electric Company and Graco Holdings, Inc.
Mr. Russell received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Dallas Baptist University and held a Certified Public Accountant certificate for over twenty years and a Certified Turnaround Professional certificate for five years.
